Arrival and Dismissal

The first few days of school are very busy as people learn the arrival and dismissal procedures. Please give yourself plenty of time in the morning to arrive at school. School starts at 8:00 am. Students need to arrive by 7:55 am to ensure that they get to class on time. Traffic the first few days will be thick so please be patient with the other families that are dropping off their children. Here are a few reminders:

PARKING:

Parking is limited on our campus. There are some parking spots available by the drop-off loop and also some in the dirt lot. Please be patient with parking and exiting the campus due to the volume of traffic.

ARRIVAL:

If students are coming for school breakfast, the gate by the office opens at 7:20 am. Students will go directly to the multi-purpose room and stay there until 7:40 a.m.

1) Students can enter through the gate on Jones starting at 7:30. They will go to the MPR until 7:40.

Please do not allow your children to cross the street unless it is at the crosswalk.

2) A second drop off is through the car loop at the front of the school off of Keller Avenue. You will enter the drop off on Keller (as indicated on the map above), drive up and drop off your child/children, and exit on Tyler. There is no left turn into the drop off lane. Please arrive with plenty of time as morning arrival can be very busy. Children need to be dropped off at the curb in the loop for their safety.

Please drive slowly on Keller Avenue as there are lots of cars driving on the street during morning arrival.

3) Walking to campus or home. We do not allow TK/Kinder and 1st grade students to walk home by themselves for their safety.

4) Bike riders: Students in grades 4-5 can ride their bikes to school, but they must be wearing a helmet. Students will need to come and talk with the principal for permission to ride their bikes and show that they have the appropriate safety instruments. Failure to use their helmet will cause them to lose their bike riding privileges. No scooters or skateboards can be brought to school.

DISMISSAL

TK/Kinder students dismiss at 2:00. Your child's teacher will let you know which they will dismiss from.

1st-5th grade students dismiss at 2:15.

TUESDAY is always an early release day. TK/Kinder dismiss at 12:45 on Tuesdays. 1st-5th dismiss at 1:00 on Tuesdays.

**Please note that there is no parking along Keller directly in front of the office. There is signage stating the hours that parking is not allowed.

***For your child's safety, please park and get out of the vehicle to pick them up at the gate
